Neil Adams confident of Norwich City survival

New Norwich City boss Neil Adams expresses his confidence that the club will remain in the Premier League.

New Norwich City manager Neil Adams has insisted that he is "absolutely" confident of his ability to keep the club in the Premier League.

The 48-year-old was promoted to the helm from his role as boss of the Under-18 team at Carrow Road following the sacking of Chris Hughton yesterday evening.

After next weekend's match against fellow strugglers Fulham, the Canaries finish the campaign with encounters against Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal.

However, with his side five points above the relegation zone, Adams is positive about their survival chances.

"I've got to put my stamp on it, I need to organise the way I want the players to play. More than anything we need a bunch of players prepared to do absolute everything," he told reporters this afternoon.

"People outside Norfolk will not realise how big a club this is. We need to send a team out to win a game. Am I confident we can get enough wins to stay up? Absolutely."

Adams spent five years as a player with Norwich between 1994 and 1999.
