Premier League agrees new TV rights deal with NBC

The Premier League and American broadcaster NBC Universal agree a new six-year deal to show live games in the United States.

The Premier League has announced a new deal with American broadcaster NBC Universal to show live games on the network for the next six years.

The new agreement covers Premier League matches in seasons 2016-17 to 2021-22 and, just like the current deal, will give American fans the chance to watch all 380 league games.

Premier League chairman Richard Scudamore told The Guardian: "NBC Sports has done a fantastic job broadcasting the Barclays Premier League for the last two seasons.

"We are extremely pleased that they have invested in our US rights for seasons 2016-17 to 2021-22. Outstanding production, expert analysis, and wide audience reach have all been beyond expectations."

The current deal between the Premier League and NBC started in the 2013-14 season.
