Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has admitted that the club are already working towards bringing in new players ahead of next season.
The Magpies are currently top of the form table, fourth in the Premier League table and in contention for a shock return to the Champions League.
While Pardew is aware that such impressive performances will have attracted interest in his players, he is planning on improving his squad rather than 'cashing in' on its success.
"We would be foolish not to look at [summer signings]," Pardew told talkSPORT.
"I spoke to Graham Carr, he is in France all weekend. We're looking at one or two players that we think might help us and we've got to be on guard.
"Our players now are going to start to be targeted by the top teams but there isn't that many teams above us at the minute and that is a good sign."
Pardew recently visited Amsterdam to watch Ajax duo Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld.
