Preview: Newcastle United vs. Wigan Athletic

Sports Mole previews Newcastle United's match with Wigan Athletic on Monday evening.

Newcastle United host Wigan Athletic on Monday evening as they look to end a run of four consecutive defeats.

The Magpies have not won since they beat West Bromwich Albion at the end of October and their winless run has seen them slump to 14th place in the Premier League table.

Injuries to several first-team players may force manager Alan Pardew to name the same starting lineup that lost 2-1 to Stoke City on Wednesday night.

Wigan fell to a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City in midweek but manager Roberto Martinez is likely to keep changes to a minimum for the game on Tyneside.

One possible alteration could be the inclusion of James McArthur in place of David Jones.
