Newcastle United are lining up a £45m bid for Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze, according to a report.
The winger has only made one start in the Premier League this season due to an Achilles' injury that has ruled him out for the majority of the fixtures, and he was an unused substitute during the last fixture against Brentford.
However, in the 2020-21 campaign, the 23-year-old scored four games and made 34 appearances, being a regular under former manager Roy Hodgson.
According to The Sun, Newcastle United are lining up a £45m move to bring in Eze this summer, with the club having tried and failed to sign him on loan during the January window.
The Magpies are confident that they will be able to sign him at the end of the season, even though the Eagles did not want him to move to a fellow Premier League rival.
Newcastle United will be back in action on Saturday when they face West Ham United, looking for their fourth consecutive victory.
