Newcastle United fan group wants Alan Pardew sacked

A Newcastle United fan group calls on the club to sack manager Alan Pardew following his headbutt on Hull City's David Meyler.

A Newcastle United fan group has called on the club to sack manager Alan Pardew following his headbutt on Hull City's David Meyler.

Pardew was banned for seven matches by the Football Association on Tuesday for his confrontation with Meyler at the start of the month.

The 52-year-old was also fined £60,000 by the FA and £100,000 by Newcastle.

However, United for Newcastle believe that Pardew should have been dismissed by the club for his part in the incident.

"In my personal opinion, he should have been sacked for the offence," founder Kevin Moore told Perform.

"I don't want to see anyone representing my football club do something like that, especially the manager of a football club, so I would have liked to see him sacked to be honest."

Pardew will start his suspension on Saturday when Newcastle travel to Fulham in the Premier League.
