Yoan Gouffran: 'Newcastle United players look scared'

Yoan Gouffran accuses his Newcastle United teammates of sometimes looking "scared" on the pitch.

Newcastle United winger Yoan Gouffran has claimed that sometimes his teammates look "scared" during Premier League matches.

Steve McClaren's side are currently 17th in the league table following seven defeats, four draws and just two victories.

Last weekend, the Magpies suffered a 3-0 defeat to Leicester City at St James' Park.

"Sometimes you can lose games but you must show something," Gouffran told The Chronicle. "The fans are disappointed because we don't play 100%

"Sometimes we look scared. We need to give 100% for the fans."

This weekend, Newcastle will face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon.
