Arjen Robben slams Netherlands defending

Arjen Robben slams the Netherlands' defence after conceding three times in Wednesday's 3-2 defeat to Mexico in Amsterdam.

Netherlands winger Arjen Robben has hit out at his defensive teammates following last night's 3-2 friendly defeat at home to Mexico.

Two goals from Carlos Vela in his first international outing for three years and another from Javier Hernandez helped the visitors to victory at the Amsterdam ArenA.

"We should not point the finger at each other," Robben, who captained the side in the absence of Robin van Persie, told SBS6.

"But we have to speak to each other about the errors that were made. We have no security or stability at the back and we fall into repetition.

"We get three against three [in attack], which means we had to make the right play. We have had those opportunities. The story has another side: we need to make more goals."

The Oranje, who scored through Wesley Sneijder and a deflected effort from Daley Blind, face Latvia in a key Euro 2016 qualifier on Sunday.
