Wolverhampton Wanderers have secured their first win under manager Dean Saunders with a 2-0 victory over Millwall in the Championship this evening.
Wolves made a positive start to the game, and their early efforts paid off when David Edwards fired the ball in nine minutes into the first half.
The visitors doubled their lead after an hour, as Jamie O'Hara picked out Sylvan Ebanks-Blake in the penalty area, forcing the ball into the bottom right-hand corner.
Adam Smith looked to get Millwall back in the match moments later, but Carl Ikeme was alert in the Wolves goal, cleanly gathering the strike.
Despite their two-goal advantage, Wolves continued to push in the final minutes of the game, Millwall having to work hard to prevent their opponents from scoring a third goal.
Bjorn Sigurdarson and O'Hara both had chances to add to the scoreline, but two goals were enough for Wolverhampton to secure the win.
The victory moves Wolves out of the relegation places, while Millwall drop to 15th in the table.
