West Ham United reportedly failed with a £55m deadline-day move for Leeds United's Kalvin Phillips.
The Hammers are said to have had a £50m offer for Phillips turned down in the latter stages of the January transfer window, with the London club desperate to bring him to London Stadium.
According to The Sun, David Moyes's side raised their offer to £55m on deadline day in the hope of convincing the Whites to sell him in the middle of the campaign.
However, Leeds were not willing to sell, with Marcelo Bielsa's side battling to secure their top-flight status for another season.
Phillips, who has also been linked with Manchester United and Liverpool, has scored once and provided one assist in 15 appearances for Leeds during the 2021-22 campaign.
However, the England international has not featured in the Premier League since the start of December due to a hamstring problem, missing his side's last six top-flight fixtures.
