Talks between Manchester United and Zlatan Ibrahimovic over a new contract for the Swedish striker are currently ongoing, according to a report.
The 35-year-old bagged 28 goals in 46 appearances in his debut campaign in English football, only for a cruciate knee ligament injury to cut short his time at Old Trafford.
Ibrahimovic was not offered an extension to his 12-month deal at the end of last season, leaving the door open for a potential switch to Major League Soccer to see out his career.
United boss Jose Mourinho revealed last month that the ex-Sweden international could still return to Old Trafford once recovering from his long-term layoff, however, and journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims that talks are now underway.
"Man United are working on Zlatan Ibrahimovic comeback," he posted on his personal Twitter account. "Talks ongoing."
Mourinho was forced to spend big on a replacement for Ibrahimovic earlier in the summer transfer window, handing over an initial fee of £75m to bring in Romelu Lukaku from Everton.
