Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 'wants to offload six first-team Manchester United players in January'

Manchester United could offload as many as six first-team players this month, according to a report.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly keen to offload as many as six first-team players before the end of the January transfer window.

Amad Diallo will arrive at Old Trafford from Atalanta BC this month, having finally received a work permit, but it is otherwise expected to be a quiet window in terms of incomings.

However, according to The Sun, Solskjaer wants to shift Sergio Romero, Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones, Jesse Lingard, Daniel James and Brandon Williams before the end of the month.

Romero, Rojo, Jones and Lingard are all out of favour at Old Trafford and are likely to be available for transfer.

However, James and Williams are still highly rated by Solskjaer despite their lack of action this term and therefore might only be allowed to leave on loan deals for the remainder of the 2020-21 campaign.

The United manager will allegedly sit down with all six players in the coming days to determine the best course of action for each individual.

The 20-time English champions are still said to have an interest in Jadon Sancho but would rather bring his Borussia Dortmund teammate Erling Braut Haaland to the club.
