Manchester United are ready to drop their interest in Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho to pursue a move for teammate Erling Braut Haaland, according to a report.

Manchester United are reportedly ready to drop their interest in Jadon Sancho in order to pursue a move for his Borussia Dortmund teammate Erling Braut Haaland.

The Red Devils were strongly linked with Sancho during last summer's transfer window but were not prepared to meet Dortmund's £107m asking price for the England international.

The former Manchester City youngster has struggled for form this season, failing to score in 11 Bundesliga appearances, and according to The Mirror, United are now debating whether to reignite their interest ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.

The report claims that the 20-time English champions would rather prioritise a move for Haaland, who was a target for the club before he left Red Bull Salzburg for Dortmund in January 2020.

Sancho is still said to be on United's radar, but Haaland is the number one choice, with the Norway international scoring 33 times in 32 appearances for BVB since his arrival.

The 20-year-old is unlikely to be allowed to leave Signal Iduna Park this summer but is expected to depart in 2022 when a release clause in his contract comes into play.
