Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has expressed an interest in signing Javier Hernandez from Manchester United.
The striker is part of the Premier League side's squad for their current pre-season tour of America, but has made just two brief substitute appearances for Louis van Gaal's side so far.
When asked about the Mexico international at a press conference, Simeone said: "He's a vertical player, he's great in one-on-one situations and he's someone who could be useful to any team.
"With Javier Hernandez and lots of other great players, anything is possible. We can't close any door until the transfer window shuts."
Hernandez has made only 15 Premier League starts for United in the last two seasons.
