Gareth Bale will fly to England on Friday to finalise his season-long loan switch from Real Madrid to former club Tottenham Hotspur, according to a report.
Spurs moved ahead of Manchester United in the race to sign the Wales international earlier this week and are now seemingly on the verge of completing a deal.
The 31-year-old's agent Jonathan Barnett has confirmed that talks are progressing between the two clubs, although an agreement is not yet thought to be in place.
However, BBC Sport claims that Bale is expected to be in a position to put pen to paper on a return to Spurs at some point in the next 24 hours or so.
Bale joined Tottenham from Southampton in 2007 and spent six years in North London before joining Madrid for a then-record £85m fee.
During his time in the Spanish capital, the Welshman has scored more than 100 goals and won four Champions Leagues, but he was frozen out by boss Zinedine Zidane last season.
