Manchester United attacker Alejandro Garnacho is a transfer target for Real Madrid, according to a report.

Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United attacker Alejandro Garnacho.

The 18-year-old scored his first senior goal for the Red Devils during the Europa League contest with Real Sociedad at the start of November, before netting his first Premier League goal in the 2-1 success over Fulham just before the break for the 2022 World Cup.

Garnacho has established himself as a key member of the first-team squad at Old Trafford this season, but there is uncertainty surrounding his future, with his current deal due to expire next June.

Man United are said to be in discussions with the Argentina Under-20s international over a new long-term deal.

There has not yet been a breakthrough in developments, though, meaning that, as it stands, he will be available on a free transfer next year.

Man United will not put themselves in a position where they could lose him for nothing, but according to Relevo, Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on the developments.

The report claims that Los Blancos president Florentino Perez is determined to continue his policy of bringing in the best young talents in world football, and Garnacho is viewed as a player of that ilk.

The attacker spent time with Getafe's youth system before moving to Atletico Madrid, spending five years with the capital giants ahead of a switch to Man United.

Garnacho had a record of 16 goals and eight assists in 31 appearances for Man United Under-18s, while he has netted five times and registered two assists in 16 outings for the club at Under-21 level.

The forward is currently with the Man United squad in Spain on their mid-season training camp.

Garnacho played the opening 45 minutes of Wednesday's 4-2 defeat to Cadiz and is also expected to be in the starting lineup against Real Betis on Saturday.

A recent report claimed that the teenager currently collects £5,000 a week, but he would be in line for a rise to £50,000 a week if he signed a new deal with the 20-time English champions.

Arsenal and Chelsea are also believed to be monitoring the situation surrounding Garnacho, although neither club would be able to approach the player in January to discuss a pre-contract.
