Manchester United youngster James Garner could be shipped out on loan to a foreign club for the 2021-22 season, according to a report.
The 20-year-old starred for Watford and Nottingham Forest during his loan spells in the recently-completed Championship campaign, scoring four goals and claiming one assist in 40 second-tier appearances.
Forest manager Chris Hughton has been singing Garner's praises throughout the campaign, and there have been calls from United supporters to integrate him into the first team at Old Trafford next season.
However, The Mirror claims that United would rather see Garner enjoy more first-team action during another loan spell next season, and the prospect of a move abroad could be on the cards.
The report adds that a return to Forest is not beyond the realm of possibility either, while a brief stint at another Premier League club could also be sanctioned.
Garner's stunning effort put Forest ahead against Preston North End on Saturday before they ultimately lost 2-1, and the midfielder has made seven appearances for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side so far.
