Manchester United reportedly place a £35m asking price on out-of-favour Henrikh Mkhitaryan amid interest from Serie A high-fliers Inter Milan.

Manchester United will reportedly demand at least £35m for out-of-favour midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan during the January transfer window.

Mkhitaryan's Old Trafford future has been cast into doubt in recent weeks following reports of a training ground bust-up with manager Jose Mourinho.

The 28-year-old has subsequently fallen down the pecking order with United, who has not started a single game since the 1-0 defeat to Chelsea at the beginning of November.

United paid £27m to bring the Armenia international to the club in 2016, but the Daily Mail reports that they will refuse to sell him on for any less than £35m.

Inter Milan are understood to be leading the race for his signature, although United's latest valuation could scupper a deal for the Serie A high-fliers as they would need to sell first in order to meet Financial Fair Play guidelines.

United have been linked with a number of players who could act as possible replacements for Mkhitaryan, including Willian, Mesut Ozil, Malcolm and Gareth Bale.
