Manchester United have reportedly been alerted to the possibility of signing Aaron Ramsey from Juventus this summer.
The 29-year-old only joined Juve last year after letting his Arsenal contract wind down, but he has made just 15 Serie A appearances for the Italian champions this season.
Snapping him up on a free transfer enabled Juventus to offer him a more lucrative contract worth a reported £400,000 per week, but the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic have left the Turin outfit needing to trim their wage bill.
The Daily Mail reports that they have put Ramsey up for sale as a result, and that two top English clubs - one of which is thought to be United - are interested in signing him.
However, his wages would prove to be a stumbling block with neither United or the other unnamed interested party willing to meet the terms of his current contract, which does not expire until 2023.
United are known to be in the market for a new midfielder and were linked with Ramsey before he joined Juventus, although Jack Grealish, Saul Niguez and James Maddison are all rumoured targets in that area of the field too.
