Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is looking to bring in a left-footed attacker as a priority ahead of next season, according to a report.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly prioritised bringing in a left-footed player next year to address his lopsided attack.

The Portuguese is said to still be unhappy with the Red Devils hierarchy after missing out on Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic in the summer market.

Mourinho believes that one particular area of the squad needs reinforcing, having brought in just one forward in the most recent window, but he will likely wait until the end of the campaign before splashing out.

According to the Manchester Evening News, United have started the search for a new high-profile recruit to help balance their attack line, with Real Madrid ace Gareth Bale one of four players being monitored.

Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Ashley Young can all play on the left flank for a United side that has scored 14 goals fewer than Premier League leaders Manchester City.
