Manchester United reportedly met with Jorge Mendes - the agent of Joao Felix - earlier this week to discuss a potential move for the Benfica teenager in this summer's transfer window.
Felix, 19, is widely regarded as one of the best young players in European football and has scored an impressive 10 goals in 27 appearances for Benfica during the 2018-19 campaign.
Earlier this month, it was reported that United were prepared to spend more than £100m to sign Felix, who has also been linked with Liverpool, Manchester City and Juventus.
The youngster recently revealed that he is already thinking about leaving Benfica and hinted at a move to Juve to play alongside his "idol" Cristiano Ronaldo.
However, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, United sat down with super-agent Mendes earlier this week to reveal that they were interested in signing the Portuguese ahead of the 2019-2020 campaign.
Liverpool reportedly failed with a £61m January bid for Felix, who has a contract with his current club until the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
