Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli says that the Italian side will not be lowering their £100m asking price for Kalidou Koulibaly.

Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has insisted that the Italian giants will not be lowering their £100m asking price for in-demand centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly.

The Senegal international's future has been called into question in recent weeks, with a host of clubs - including Manchester United and Liverpool - thought to be lining up summer offers.

Previous reports have suggested that Koulibaly could be available for a cut-price fee due to the financial impact of the coronavirus outbreak, which is likely to be felt across the sport.

However, Giuntoli has insisted that Napoli's valuation of 28-year-old - widely thought to be £100m - will stand this summer, effectively ruling out a move away ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.

"Kalidou is a great player, who still has a long contract with us. If we were to sell, the club could ask for a large sum," Giuntoli told Sky Sport Italia. "A player like this cannot change his value even in a crisis, so we are not moving our valuation."

Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur have also previously been linked with the centre-back, who has a contract with Gli Azzurri until the summer of 2023.
