Villarreal have slapped a modest €30m (£26m) price tag on the head of Manchester United-linked defender Pau Torres, according to a report.
The Spain international is thought to be one of several targets on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's summer shortlist as he seeks a long-term partner for Harry Maguire in the rearguard.
With Torres having turned 24 this year and under contract at Villarreal until 2024, the Yellow Submarine were originally expected to demand a figure in excess of £50m for the highly-rated defender.
However, Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Villarreal value Torres at a bargain price of €30m (£26m), with Real Madrid also keeping a close eye on developments.
The report adds that the Yellow Submarine are expecting bids from Man United and Real Madrid this summer, though, and they are likely to drive the price up as they gauge the clubs' interest.
Torres has contributed two goals and two assists from 31 La Liga appearances this term, and he is set to line up for Villarreal against Man United in the Europa League final on May 26.
