RB Leipzig set an asking price of £62.5m for Christopher Nkunku amid suggestions of interest from both Manchester United and Arsenal, according to a report.

RB Leipzig have reportedly set an asking price of £62.5m for Christopher Nkunku amid suggestions of interest from both Manchester United and Arsenal.

The 24-year-old has been in impressive form for his German club during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring 22 goals and contributing 13 assists in 33 appearances in all competitions.

Man United and Arsenal have both been credited with an interest in the Frenchman, who has two years left to run on his contract with Leipzig.

However, according to Bild, the Bundesliga club will refuse to sell the versatile attacker ahead of the 2022-23 campaign unless they receive an offer of £62.5m.

Nkunku, who has been capped on six occasions by France Under-21s, scored seven times and contributed two assists in six Champions League group-stage appearances this season.

Man United interim head coach Ralf Rangnick has allegedly recommended that the 20-time English champions move for the former Paris Saint-Germain youngster during this summer's transfer window.
