Real Madrid to rival Barcelona for Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez?

Real Madrid are reportedly ready to rival Barcelona in the race to sign Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez.

Real Madrid have reportedly identified Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez as a potential signing, either in January or the summer.

Having contributed 14 goals in Serie A and the Champions League this season, Martinez has allegedly emerged as a target for a number of top European clubs.

Barcelona are currently regarded as the favourites for the Argentine international, while Manchester United are said to be monitoring the situation as they look to strengthen their forward line.

However, Sport claims that Real are ready to make an approach for the 23-year-old, who has a release clause in the region of £94m.

While there is the suggestion that the figure could be met in January, Los Blancos may prefer to wait until later in 2020 to commit to such an outlay.

With Inter currently challenging for the Italy top-flight crown, Martinez could insist on remaining at San Siro for at least another six months.
