Real Madrid's Lucas Vazquez has reportedly rejected the La Liga champions' first offer of a new contract.
The Spain international has now entered the final six months of his deal with Los Blancos, although manager Zinedine Zidane recently announced his desire to keep him on the books at the Bernabeu.
The versatile 29-year-old has often been deployed at right-back this season and remains a key player for Real Madrid, chalking up two goals and three assists in 19 appearances across all competitions so far.
However, Marca reports that Real Madrid have tabled their first renewal offer for Vazquez, but he has quickly rejected that proposal.
Even though Vazquez's future remains shrouded in uncertainty, the report adds that Luka Modric will soon pen fresh terms at Real Madrid, while there is also optimism over a new contract for captain Sergio Ramos.
Vazquez, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United, has won three Champions League crowns and two La Liga titles during his five years at Real Madrid.
