Bosnian journalist: 'Manchester United want Miralem Pjanic'

Journalist Mirza Dautbegovic says that Manchester United are looking to sign Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic.

A Bosnian journalist has claimed that Manchester United have made an offer for Roma's attacking midfielder Miralem Pjanic.

United boss David Moyes recently admitted that his squad was in need of additions, but doubted if he could secure the services of his targets this month.

However, Mirza Dautbegovic, who is said to be closely connected with Bosnian football, has insisted that United have lodged a bid for 23-year-old Pjanic.

"Pjanic has an offer from Man United," he wrote on Twitter, before posting when asked if Pjanic would make the move: "Yes, he is [happy at Roma], but he would be much more happier at Old Trafford."

Pjanic has scored three goals for club and country this season.
