Manchester United are reportedly keen for Nemanja Vidic to extend his contract with the club.
The centre-back's current deal is due to expire in the summer, when he would become a free agent.
However, manager David Moyes has decided that he would like the 32-year-old to remain part of his squad beyond the end of the current campaign, with talks over fresh terms to start shortly, according to The Guardian.
Captain Vidic, who joined United in 2006, has made 17 appearances this term.
