Inter Milan have reportedly identified Patrice Evra as one of their top transfer targets ahead of the summer window.
Evra's current deal at Manchester United expires at the end of the season and neither the club nor the France international have suggested that a new contract is being negotiated.
The club's technical director Piero Ausilio watched the United defender in the 0-0 draw with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday.
Evra could be one of a number of players leaving Old Trafford in the summer, with outgoing captain Nemanja Vidic also being linked with Inter recently.
United signed Evra from Monaco in 2006.
