Gareth Bale has arrived at Tottenham Hotspur's training ground as the Wales international nears a return to the Premier League club on a season-long loan move.
The experienced attacker previously turned out for Spurs between 2007 and 2013, scoring 55 times in 203 appearances for the capital side before leaving for Real Madrid.
The 31-year-old is now surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu, though, and the Welshman has now arrived at Tottenham's training ground ahead of a loan switch.
According to Sky Sports News, Spurs will pay £20m in wages and loan fees for Bale, who travelled to London Luton Airport on Friday alongside Madrid teammate Sergio Reguilon, with the defender also set to join Jose Mourinho's side on a five-year contract.
Bale is believed to have completed a medical in Madrid on Thursday, meaning that an official announcement on both players could arrive before the end of the day.
Manchester United are believed to have considered an approach for the former Southampton youngster but ultimately decided against making a move.
