Manchester United are reportedly preparing to make 'a significant offer' for Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min in a bid to bring the South Korean to Old Trafford at the end of the campaign.
Son has been short of his best for Spurs this season, but he has still managed 10 goals and 10 assists in 35 appearances in all competitions, including six goals and nine assists in 23 Premier League outings.
The 32-year-old signed a one-year contract extension in January, with his deal now running until June 2026, but according to Fichajes, Man United are confident that they can sign him during this summer's transfer window.
The report claims that the Red Devils view Son as a player capable of providing 'goals, leadership and versatility' in the final third of the field, and the club are prepared to make 'a significant offer'.
Son has been one of the stars of the Premier League over the last 10 years, representing Tottenham on 443 occasions in all competitions, scoring 172 goals and registering 94 assists in the process.

Man United 'lining up' big-money Son offer
The South Korea international has managed 126 goals and 71 assists in 326 Premier League matches for Tottenham, in addition to 16 goals and two assists in 39 Champions League games for the North London team.
Man United are believed to be long-term admirers of Son, and the Red Devils are desperate to improve their attacking options for next season due to their struggles in that area of the field.
Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee again struggled to make their mark against Everton in the Premier League on Saturday, and the forward pair have just five goals between them this term in England's top flight this term.

Should Man United move for Son this summer?
On a free transfer, a deal for Son would make a lot of sense for Man United, especially considering that the Red Devils are again expected to be open to selling Alejandro Garnacho.
Marcus Rashford and Antony, who are currently on loan at Aston Villa and Real Betis respectively, are also set to leave on permanent deals this summer, so the Red Devils desperately need to make some attacking additions.
A free transfer for Son would have been a smart move, but the South Korean signed a contract extension last month, so Man United would have to pay a transfer fee for him this summer.
Tottenham have previously shown a reluctance to sell a star player to Man United, as shown by the Harry Kane transfer saga in 2023, so Spurs would demand a high price for Son, and at this stage of his career, it is a deal that the Red Devils must avoid considering recent expensive mistakes in the market.
