Diego Forlan has revealed that he is ready to leave Inter Milan for a move to South America, following consistent speculation linking the striker with a move to Internacional.
Forlan struggled last season in Italy, scoring just twice in Serie A for Inter Milan. The Uruguayan forward spoke of his excitement at making a fresh start in Brazil.
"After 14 years spent playing football around the world, for me to be able to play for a team close to my country, Uruguay, is something that makes me very happy," the former Manchester United striker told Tele Doce.
The 33-year-old striker has had a varied career in Europe, playing in the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A.
