Borussia Dortmund are reportedly in talks to sign Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot before the August 31 deadline.

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly in talks to sign Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot before the August 31 deadline.

The 22-year-old has struggled to break into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first team at Old Trafford, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka cementing his place as the first choice right-back.

According to Sky Sports News, Dortmund have enquired about taking Dalot on an initial season-long loan deal with the option to sign him permanently next summer.

The Portuguese international – who has also attracted interest from Bayern Munich – made 34 appearances across all competitions for Serie A side AC Milan whilst on loan last season.

Dalot joined United from Porto in June 2018 for £19m but has played just 35 times for the club, including 23 starts.

The potential departure of Dalot could see the Red Devils reignite their interest in Atletico Madrid's Kieran Trippier, who has been linked with a return to the Premier League.
