Manchester United are reportedly unlikely to add any new faces to their squad on deadline day, despite the recent injury to Lisandro Martinez.
Martinez will miss the rest of the season with the knee injury he suffered in the 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on Sunday, where Ruben Amorim's side misfired once again in attack.
The stats look bleak for their two main striking options, because Rasmus Hojlund has failed to score in his last 13 games, while Joshua Zirkzee is without a goal in his last 11.
In that time, even stricken defender Martinez has scored twice, netting the opener at Anfield against Liverpool and the winner away to Fulham last weekend.
Even Mathys Tel, who Man United had been heavily linked with but now look set to miss out on, has failed to score a single goal this season.

Is Man United's January business done?
Despite the rumoured overhaul that was expected following the appointment of Ruben Amorim earlier this season, it appears the club are going to wait until the summer before making wholesale changes to the squad.
Manager Ruben Amorim has been able to add Lecce left-back Patrick Dorgu to his squad, as well as Arsenal youngster Ayden Heaven, and both were introduced to the Old Trafford crowd before the Palace defeat.
However, Amorim's wish for new players more suited to his system are unlikely to come on deadline day, according to Sanny Rudravajhala of Sky Sports News.
The reporter claims that United are not looking to make any impulse purchases despite the news regarding Martinez's injury, and freeing up some money in the wage department following Marcus Rashford's move to Aston Villa.
Speaking outside Old Trafford, Rudravajhala revealed: "It is clear Ruben Amorim would like another attacking option. United, however, don't want to compromise their summer spending with any inflated moves for now."

Will United suffer further with no new faces?
Man United spent significantly in the summer, bringing in Zirkzee, along with the likes of Manuel Ugarte, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui.
With their strikers misfiring and Marcus Rashford now at Villa though, Kobbie Mainoo playing as a false nine, as he did for a spell against Palace, shows clearly that Amorim wants another option in attack.
Moves for Tel and Leon Bailey have both been touted on deadline day, but it appears Tottenham Hotspur could be moving ahead in the race for the Aston Villa man.
There will be huge pressure on Amorim again this Friday, when United face Leicester City at home in the fourth round of the FA Cup, with that competition providing the club with their last chance of domestic success this season.
Amorim has lost five of his seven home games against Premier League opposition since his appointment, and with Leicester's current predicament, another would be hugely concerning.
