Wales boss Chris Coleman: 'Gareth Bale in no rush to leave Real Madrid'

Wales manager Chris Coleman insists that Gareth Bale is in "no rush" to leave Real Madrid, amid rumours that Manchester United are keen to sign him.

Wales manager Chris Coleman has revealed that Gareth Bale is in "no rush" to leave Real Madrid, amid reports that Manchester United are interested in the player.

The 26-year-old has been linked with a return to the Premier League just two years after he became the most expensive player in history.

The Welshman joined Real from Tottenham Hotspur for £85m, and his national boss believes that Bale will remain at the Bernabeu, despite having a difficult campaign last season.

"Bale is in no rush to leave Real Madrid," Coleman told Sky Sports News. "Manchester United are who they are, but why is he going to want to leave Madrid?

"I know he came in for a lot of criticism and was seen as the president's boy because of the huge transfer fee and he was targeted."

Bale helped Real win the Copa del Rey and Champions League in his first season at the club.
