Bayern Munich are increasingly confident of signing Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane this summer, according to a report.

Bayern Munich are reportedly becoming increasingly confident of bringing Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane to Allianz Arena during this summer's transfer window.

The England captain's contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is due to expire next June, and there remains widespread speculation surrounding his future in North London.

Manchester United have been strongly linked with the 29-year-old, but it is understood that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will not sanction a move to a Premier League rival under any circumstances.

Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with his services, but Bayern have emerged as the favourites to secure his signature, with the German champions in the market for a Robert Lewandowski replacement.

Lewandowski was allowed to join Barcelona during last summer's transfer window, and Bayern are thought to view Kane as the ideal player to lead their line moving forward.

According to The Mirror, the Munich giants are 'growing in confidence', with the club ready to make a third offer for the forward, having seen their opening two bids turned down.

The report claims that Bayern are expected to make an offer in the region of £80m, which could tempt Tottenham into a sale, as they run the risk of losing him for nothing next summer.

Bayern chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen is believed to have met with Spurs chairman Levy towards the end of last week to discuss a possible transfer this summer.

There was allegedly 'a good atmosphere' during the talks, although it was suggested that no progress had been made, with Levy still insisting that the striker will not be leaving during the current market.

Kane is reportedly not planning to push for a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium during this summer's transfer window despite adopting that tactic in 2021 in a bid to secure a transfer to Manchester City.

The striker has allegedly not yet ruled out signing a new deal with Spurs, but he will not pen fresh terms with the London club while the transfer window remains open.

Kane was again in excellent form for Tottenham last season, scoring 32 goals and registering five assists in 49 appearances in all competitions.

The Three Lions skipper found the back of the net on 30 occasions in the Premier League in 2021-22, but Spurs finished down in eighth position in the table, so there will be no European football at the club next term.

Kane returned to pre-season training with Tottenham last week and is believed to have been impressed by the club's new head coach Ange Postecoglou.
