Bayern Munich have reportedly won the race to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez.
The 26-year-old found it difficult to show his best form for Atletico during the 2020-21 campaign but was again an important player for the Spanish champions, making 41 appearances in all competitions.
Manchester United and Liverpool have both recently been credited with an interest in the midfielder amid suggestions that Diego Simeone's side are open to a sale during this summer's transfer window.
However, according to Marca, Bayern have quickly moved to the head of the queue for the Spaniard and have now agreed a deal in the region of £68m with his La Liga club.
The report claims that Atletico are confident that the deal will go through in the coming weeks and have already identified a replacement in the shape of Udinese's Rodrigo De Paul.
Saul, who still has more than five years left to run on his contract at Wanda Metropolitano, has been left out of the Spain squad for this summer's European Championships.
