Barcelona are reportedly lining up a £5m offer for Manchester United forward Edinson Cavani.
The Catalan giants are determined to bring a new striker to the club during the January transfer window but are restricted due to their ongoing financial problems.
Cavani, who is currently on the sidelines with a tendon problem, only has a little over six months left to run on his contract at Old Trafford and is not expected to pen an extension.
According to The Mirror, Barcelona have identified the Uruguay international as a leading transfer target and are prepared to offer Man United £5m for his services in January.
The report claims that Inter Milan are also keen on the 34-year-old, who has scored just once in eight appearances for the 20-time English champions during the 2021-22 campaign.
The South American has proved to be a successful signing for the Red Devils, though, netting 18 times and contributing six assists in 47 appearances in all competitions.
