Respected Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has claimed that Darren Fletcher's reported move to Valencia will not occur.
It had been reported that the Spanish side wanted to bring the Manchester United midfielder, who is out of contract this summer, to the Mestalla this month.
However, on his official Twitter account, Balague has insisted that the move is off.
Fletcher has been with United since the age of 11 and was appointed vice-captain at the start of this season, but the Scotland international has struggled for minutes under Louis van Gaal.
West Ham United have also been strongly linked with a move for the 30-year-old.
