Preview: Manchester United vs. West Ham United

Manchester United take on West Ham United on Saturday as they look to close the gap on the leaders in the Premier League.

Manchester United will be looking to return to winning ways at Old Trafford on Saturday as they host struggling West Ham United in the Premier League.

The Red Devils have lost their last two at Old Trafford but did improve in their last league game as they went to Aston Villa and won 3-0.

West Ham, who have slipped to 17th in the table, have lost four of their last six games, but the 2-1 win away to Tottenham Hotspur in the League Cup will provide a boost ahead of their trip to Manchester.

Wayne Rooney missed United's win over Stoke City with injury, but could be fit to face West Ham, while Nemanja Vidic is getting ever closer to a return.

West Ham's matchwinner against Spurs, Modibo Maiga, could be recalled to the lineup in place of Carlton Cole, while Kevin Nolan serves the final game of his suspension.
