Manchester United caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has attempted to reassure Fred that he remains part of his first-team plans at Old Trafford.
Fred left Shakhtar Donetsk for United in a £52m deal during the summer, but the Brazil international has struggled to make an impact and has been reduced to 15 appearances in all competitions.
The 25-year-old did not featured in Solskjaer's 18-man squad for the game at Fulham last weekend, but the Norwegian has insisted that the player will be provided with opportunities before the end of the campaign.
Solskjaer is quoted by Manchester Evening News as saying: "Fred is exactly like everyone else. You know he's going to be able to contribute and he will contribute, don't worry about that."
United face Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Liverpool - all in different competitions - in their next three fixtures.
