Marcus Rashford has claimed that new Manchester United teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic is playing a key role in his own development this season.

Rashford burst onto the scene at Old Trafford in the second half of last season and despite still being just 18 years old, he has already scored 12 times in 27 senior appearances for the Red Devils.

Ibrahimovic, meanwhile, has six goals in 11 appearances this season following his summer move from Paris Saint-Germain.

Rashford has hailed Ibrahimovic's professionalism and believes that he will continue to improve working alongside the 35-year-old and club captain Wayne Rooney.

"It has been amazing. We've got a lot of world-class players in the team, especially in the forwards like Zlatan and Wayne. For the young lads, we can't ask for anything better," Rashford told Inside United.

"Zlatan is very easy to speak to and he's easy to get along with. The way he approaches every game is about winning.

"He wants to win, regardless of the opponent, whether we are home or away, whatever the odds, he always wants to find a way to win. That mentality is what you need to be at the top level. That is where he is and where he has been for years."

Man United will continue their Premier League campaign with a trip to bitter rivals Liverpool on October 17.
