Everton manager David Moyes admits that his side are confident of getting a positive result ahead of their trip to Old Trafford on Sunday.

Everton boss David Moyes has revealed that he is confident of getting a result against Manchester United on Sunday.

Moyes has not managed to win at Old Trafford since taking over as manager of the Merseyside club in 2002.

Everton's last away victory over United came over 20 years ago and Moyes admits that it will be a difficult game for his side, though the Scot believes that a positive result is possible.

"Someone told me it was 1992 when we last won at Old Trafford, so that tells you how difficult the task is," said Moyes. "But we have been quite good this year in that we have not lost many games and always been in there.

"We won earlier in the season against Manchester United and we drew there at the end of last season, so we will go there probably in a better frame of mind and with a little bit more confidence than at any other time since I arrived here.

"We will go there and try to get a positive result."

Everton currently sit in fifth place in the Premier League.
