Jose Mourinho says that he does not fear being sacked as Manchester United boss due to the amount of money that the club could have to pay him.

Jose Mourinho has said that he does not fear being sacked as Manchester United boss due to the amount of money that the club could have to pay to release him from his contract.

United have lost two of their first four matches at the start of the 2018-19 campaign, and there was said to be pressure building on Mourinho following last week's 3-0 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Red Devils bounced back to beat Burnley on Sunday afternoon, however, and the club's fans showed their support of the manager before, during and after the match.

Despite reports that Mourinho could be sacked this season, the Portuguese has insisted that he is in a comfortable position at Old Trafford.

Mourinho told La Repubblica: "If they sent me away, do you have any idea how much money they would have to give me?! They say I'm in danger, but I don't think so."

Mourinho's current deal with United will run until 2020, with the option of a further year.
