Danny Welbeck, Jonny Evans to miss Swansea City match

Sir Alex Ferguson confirms that Danny Welbeck and Jonny Evans will not be available for selection against Swansea City this weekend due to injury.

Manchester United have suffered a double injury blow ahead of their crucial Premier League match against Swansea City on Sunday, with Danny Welbeck and Jonny Evans due to miss the clash.

Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed today that the pair will be forced to sit on the sidelines with just two games left to play in the race for the title.

England international Welbeck suffered an injury to his ankle during the reigning league champions' 1-0 defeat to rivals Manchester City on Monday.

Following a scan, Ferguson has confirmed that the 21-year-old will not be fit enough to compete this weekend, while Evans remains sidelined after missing the Manchester derby.
