Lord Sugar 'dreams' of Sir Alex Ferguson becoming Tottenham Hotspur boss

Lord Sugar says that his "dream" would be for Sir Alex Ferguson to return to management at Tottenham Hotspur.

Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Sugar has admitted that he would try to tempt Sir Alex Ferguson to return to management at White Hart Lane.

The Scotsman stepped down from his 27-year tenure at Manchester United last summer, taking up a role as a director within Old Trafford.

"My dream would be that my good friend Sir Alex Ferguson will get itchy feet in about a year or so and decide he wants to get back into management and maybe bring his wonderful wife down to London and manage our team," Sugar told talkSPORT.

"That would be my dream. If he comes to watch the game, I will suggest some nice houses for him and his wife to stay in."

Rumours that current Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas's future could be in doubt have surfaced over the last few days following their 6-0 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday.
