An Inter Milan director has claimed that a deal has been struck for Jose Mourinho to take charge of Manchester United in the summer.
The 53-year-old has been strongly linked with replacing Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford over recent weeks, but his presence at Inter's 3-1 win over Sampdoria last night suggested that he may return to San Siro.
Mourinho spent two years at the Inter helm between 2008 and 2010, during which time he guided the club to two Serie A titles and a first Champions League since 1965.
However, when asked if the Portuguese coach was in line to take charge of the Italians again, club official Bedy Moratti responded: "No, he's happy now. He's going to Manchester."
Moratti's revelation contradicts a report from this morning that stressed Ryan Giggs was United's preferred option to succeed Van Gaal.
