Daley Blind dismisses Wesley Sneijder criticism

Daley Blind doesn't think that his summer move to England is the reason for his poor international form with the Netherlands.

Daley Blind has brushed off Wesley Sneijder's suggestion that the Netherlands are struggling because a number of players have swapped clubs in the summer.

Blind moved from Ajax to Manchester United following the World Cup and a number of his international teammates also made switches, including Stefan de Vrij, Bruno Martins Indi, Daryl Janmaat, Ibrahim Afellay and Luuk de Jong.

Although the Dutch side have lost four of their five games since a third-place playoff victory over Brazil at the World Cup, Blind doesn't think that the summer moves have affected him and his teammates.

"I think the focus might be lacking", he told Fox Sports. "We need to work on it.

"I think I left for England at the right time. I waited until the right moment. I was ready."

Blind has made 24 appearances for the Netherlands, scoring twice.
