Donny van de Beek suffers a serious-looking injury during Manchester United's 3-0 victory over Bournemouth in the Premier League.

Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek was forced off during Tuesday's Premier League victory over Bournemouth with a serious-looking injury.

Van de Beek was handed just his second Premier League start of the season for the 3-0 win, however, he had to be withdrawn in first-half stoppage time.

The Dutchman was unable to continue after he appeared to injure his knee during a collision with Bournemouth's Marcos Senesi.

Following several minutes of treatment, Van de Beek was replaced by Alejandro Garnacho, who went on to provide an assist for United's second goal.

Although the Red Devils ran out comfortable winners thanks to strikes from Casemiro, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford, they face an anxious wait to learn how long Van de Beek will be out of action.

The injury blow represents the latest setback for the 25-year-old, who has struggled to nail down a place in the United side since signing from Ajax in 2020.

Van de Beek has only started 23 of his 60 appearances for United, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
