Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has revealed that Luke Shaw has "had a setback" in his recovery from a muscular problem, with the defender a major doubt for the FA Cup final.
England will also be sweating over the fitness of the left-back, who could potentially be ruled out of this summer's European Championship.
Shaw has only played 15 times for Man United during the 2023-24 campaign due to injury problems, and he has been missing with his latest issue since the middle of February.
Ten Hag has not officially ruled the 28-year-old out of the FA Cup final against Manchester City on May 25, but he admitted that there is only "a very small" chance the defender will be available.
Shaw's availability for Euro 2024 is also in doubt, with England head coach Gareth Southgate potentially being without the services of his first-choice left-back for the tournament.

Shaw has "had a setback" in injury recovery
Harry Maguire is also battling to be fit for the FA Cup final after suffering a recent muscular problem, but Ten Hag is more positive over the centre-back's chances.
"For England, I can't say – it's not up to me. But for the cup final, we're working on it. Harry Maguire, I think it's a fair chance he will be available," the Man United head coach told reporters in his press conference ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.
"Luke is more complicated. In this moment, let's say it's a less chance that he will make it. But there is still a very small, reduced chance. He had a setback, now we have to find out how far [from a return] he is."
Shaw was absent from the end of August to the middle of November due to a muscular issue before making his return against Everton after the November international break.
He spent more time out with another problem over the festive period, though, before suffering the issue which has seen him miss his club's last 12 Premier League matches.

Is Shaw's future at Man United in doubt?
Left-back has been a problematic position for Man United this term, as Tyrell Malacia has also been absent for the entire campaign due to a knee injury.
When fit, Shaw is undoubtedly Man United's first-choice left-back and one of the first names on Ten Hag's team sheet, but the club are thought to be concerned by his fitness problems.
Shaw will end the season with just 12 Premier League appearances, but he has a contract at Old Trafford until June 2027, so a departure this summer is unlikely.
Man United are expected to bring in a new left-back in the upcoming market, though, with Chelsea duo Marc Cucurella and Ben Chilwell thought to be of interest.
Chilwell has also had his injury problems this season, though, handing Southgate a problem when it comes to the left-back spot in his England XI for Euro 2024.
